Imagine you're standing in your kitchen at 2 a.m., wondering if now is really the time to refinance. Or you're scrolling through listings on your phone, knowing you want to buy but not knowing where to start. Or you've just closed on a house and have no idea which contractor to trust with your first reno.

That feeling—that gap between wanting to make a smart decision and actually having the tools to do it—is where I found myself.

After the WebsiteBox exit, I spent time thinking about what came next. But in early 2025, something clicked. Someone approached me on LinkedIN about Home.CA—the domain itself—and I couldn't let it go. Not because it was a beautiful asset to sit on (it is), but because it was a canvas for something I actually believed in building: Canada's #1 Home Ecosystem.

The Problem Is Still There

Homeownership journey is fragmented. You search on one site, finance on another, hire contractors from a third, and hope you didn't miss something important along the way. Homeowners spend countless hours piecing together information that should flow seamlessly. First-time buyers feel paralyzed by choice. People upgrading or maintaining their homes don't know who to trust or what something should actually cost.

What Home.CA Is (And Isn't)

Home.CA isn't another search engine. It's not a contractor directory with 10,000 listings and no curation. It's not a real estate portal that stops at the purchase.

Home.CA is an AI-powered ecosystem built around the full lifecycle of homeownership in Canada—from buying and financing all the way through maintaining, upgrading, and loving your home. Think of it as the connective tissue the industry never built. A persistent platform that remembers your home and compounds in value the longer you stay in it.

We're building HomeGraph (the knowledge layer), HomeInsights (the decision engine), HomePro (the trusted network), and HomePoints (the rewards system). But we're taking our time. We're not shipping half-baked. We're focused on solving real problems for real Canadians, one piece at a time.

Why This Matters Now

Canadian homeownership is expensive and complex. With mortgage rates fluctuating and home values shifting, people need clarity more than ever. The fragmentation is the design choice of every category that came before—because their revenue models depend on single moments, not homeowner loyalty.

That's what we're building differently. An ecosystem that helps you understand the full picture—your home's current state, your financial options, the professionals you can actually trust, and a path forward that makes sense for your life.

The Founding Story (Not the Pitch Deck)

I fell in love with this idea because I kept running into the same problem in my own life and in conversations with friends. We all own homes. We all want to make smart decisions. But the infrastructure to help us—really help us, end-to-end—doesn't exist yet in Canada.

So we're building it. Early. Thoughtfully. With the belief that Canadian homeowners and renters deserve better.

We're not finished. We're just starting. We have a waitlist of people who get it. We're actively looking for partners—fintech companies, proptech platforms, lenders, contractors—who want to be part of something that actually moves the needle for Canadian homeowners.

What This Means for You

If you own a home or are thinking about buying one, Home.CA is being built for you. To give you the clarity, the options, and the support you actually deserve.

We're early. We're hungry. And we're committed to making homeownership—one of the biggest decisions Canadians make—simpler, smarter, and more human.

Next Step

The journey of homeownership shouldn't feel like a puzzle. It should feel like home.
